Sprout & Tell privacy policy
Sprout & Tell is a children's story and memory app made by Crossroads Goods Company ("we," "us"). We built it so that a child's information stays with the family. This policy explains exactly what the app does and doesn't do.
What we collect
Nothing. Sprout & Tell does not collect, send, or share any personal information with us or anyone else. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking tools.
What stays on your device
To work, the app saves a small amount of information in the device's own storage:
- The first name or nickname you type for each reader, and the character picture they chose.
- Which stories each reader finished, the date, and how they answered the questions.
This information never leaves the device and is never sent to us. You can remove a reader in the Grown-ups area, and deleting the app deletes all of its saved information.
Read-aloud
Stories and questions are read aloud using the speech feature built into your phone or tablet. Sprout & Tell does not record audio and does not use the microphone.
Children's privacy
Sprout & Tell is designed for children. Because we do not collect personal information, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The Grown-ups area, where progress can be viewed and readers can be removed, is protected by a parental gate.
Purchases and links
The app currently has no in-app purchases and no links that take children out of the app.
Changes to this policy
If we add a feature that changes how information is handled, we will update this page and the effective date before that version of the app is released.
